The name “front sight focus” comes from a foundational principle in marksmanship and tactical training: the ability to maintain steady focus on the front sight, even when everything around you is chaotic or uncertain. It’s a simple idea with powerful implications — clarity under pressure, disciplined attention, and the ability to act with purpose when it matters most.

 

Resiliency works the same way. When we stay attentive, informed, and proactive, we’re better equipped to navigate the unexpected.

For many years, I’ve worked in the world of threat intelligence — scanning vast streams of disparate data, identifying patterns, and connecting the dots between current events and lesser‑known historical precedents. Over time, I found myself sharing these insights with a growing circle of friends, family, and former colleagues across the military, federal protective services, and the Intelligence Community.
 

This blog is a natural extension of that mission. It’s not a place for breaking news or constant updates. Instead, it’s a curated lens on events and developments that matter — the ones that hint at deeper patterns or carry implications worth paying attention to.
